CLEVER held a lunchtime dissemination event at the BERR Conference Centre on 3 March 2009. There were over 60 attendees, representing government departments, consumers, power and communications companies, and others with an interest in the CLEVER concept of dynamically linking energy supply and consumption for the 21st Century.
A lively debate followed a presentation by Dr Dritan Kaleshi of the University of Bristol on behalf of the project. The event achieved its goal of publicising the CLEVER approach, and the team will build on its success to influence the deployment and use of intelligent metering to the end of the project in May 2011 and beyond.
The CLEVER event was held in association with a TAHI seminar on interoperability of devices in the home.
